The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs that a Ministry of Defense helicopter was involved in extinguishing the fire that broke out in the nearby mountains of Aghavnavank and Gegharkunik communities of Tavush marz.

The fire was contained at 15:32.

To remind, on January 5, around 08:00, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received information that a fire broke out in the nearby mountains of Aghavnavank of Tavush marz and Dzoravank of Gegharkunik marz.

As of 12:30 p.m., 124 firemen and rescuers were involved in the response forces that went to the place of the probable fire incident.

There are no vehicular access roads. The fire-rescuers continued on the road on foot.
