In Afghanistan, women are prohibited from working in public organizations. "Taliban" movement

Humanitarian organizations are suspending operations in Afghanistan after the Taliban authorities banned women from working in their territory. Previously, girls were forbidden to enter the country's universities, writes Euro News. Four large humanitarian organizations have stopped their activities in Afghanistan.

They made such a decision after the "Taliban" movement banned women from working in public organizations, of which there are more than 180 in the country. Representatives of international aid agencies warn that this will have disastrous consequences for the population in the face of a food and economic crisis. "We call on the Taliban authorities to cancel this decision as soon as possible.

This is happening at the worst time, when the Afghan economy is collapsing and we need women in the workforce to rebuild the economy," said Neil Turner, director of the Norwegian Refugee Council in Afghanistan.
