Gyumri's "Dry Port" project is still relevant. The newly appointed governor of Shirak

Gyumri's "Dry Port" project is still relevant. According to Armenpress, the newly appointed governor of Shirak, Davit Arushanyan, mentioned this during a briefing with journalists today.

"This concept exists, this program is connected with the opening of borders. The program exists, and there are discussions related to it at every convenient moment. If investments are coming in, they are encouraged to invest in this very program. So this program exists and remains relevant."

Speaking about directing investors to the marz, Davit Arushanyan mentioned. "The best investor is the businessman currently operating in the community. Let's stand next to this businessman and understand what his problem is.
Is that businessman aware of all existing state support programs? There are many government programs that our investors are not aware of. And thanks to these support programs, they can expand their business and create jobs.

We will also continue to bring new investors to the marz," the governor noted, assuring that he will always be by the side of the local investor. Referring to the works carried out within the framework of subsidy programs, Davit Arushanyan stated that there is a serious control problem related to the quality and deadlines of the works.

"Citizens mostly complain about terms and quality. For me, the created situation is absurd: the community does not have a problem with money, it gives, the government approves the money, but we cannot organize the correct process of tenders and construction. Here we have a problem of strict control", said Davit Arushanyan, promising to carry out strict control especially during the implementation of subsidy programs.

According to the governor, it is necessary to apply punishment mechanisms to design and construction companies that fail in their work.

The governor assures that he does not like to make false promises, and in this short period of his tenure, he was able to provide solutions to problems that require urgent questions.

"I am not in favor of inertial management, I am in favor of changes, in most cases painful reforms, but in some cases I am ready to do it. I will succeed in my task if the residents of the region see the results of positive changes," concluded the governor of Shirak.
