NATO will not shoot down Russian planes in Ukraine's airspace. Stoltenberg

NATO troops should not directly participate in the Ukrainian conflict, including shooting down Russian planes and missiles on the territory of Ukraine. According to "Armenpress", NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced this on the air of Ukrainian TSN TV channel. "NATO's policy is unchanged. we will not participate in that conflict.... We will support Ukraine in destroying Russian planes, but NATO will not be directly involved," Stoltenberg said. The NATO Secretary General also emphasized that the alliance will continue to provide military assistance to Kiev, including by strengthening the country's air defenses. According to Stoltenberg, NATO allies are determined to deliver F-16 fighter jets to Kiev as soon as possible. In the concluding declaration of the NATO summit held from July 9 to 11, the leaders of the alliance assured that they will continue to support Ukraine "on the irreversible path of full Euro-Atlantic integration, including NATO membership."
