Turkey intends to help the new Syrian authorities in creating armed forces

Turkey will support the new Syrian authorities in creating a regular army and considers military cooperation with them as an important opportunity to ensure peace and stability in the neighboring country and the region as a whole. Sources of the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported this, commenting on the decision to disband the Syrian armed forces and include them in the new Ministry of Defense of the Arab country.

"We support the call of the new Syrian leadership to create a unified army and the work in that direction, we believe that the military cooperation between the Turkish armed forces and the new Syrian administration will meet the interests of both countries," TRT Haber TV channel quotes the comments of Defense Ministry sources.

The military department also noted that the experience of Turkey, which has an "exemplary army" and a powerful defense industry infrastructure, will make a significant contribution to strengthening Syria's security and defense capabilities.

The Ministry of Defense of Turkey also announced the need to ensure the territorial integrity and unity of the neighboring country. "There is no place for any terrorist organization in the future of Syria and our region," the sources of the ministry said.
