The Palestinian Hamas movement claims that Israel is delaying the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip, which are currently underway in Doha, the corresponding statement was published on the movement's Telegram channel.
"Ceasefire negotiations are underway in Doha with the mediation of Egypt and Qatar, and Hamas has approached them with all seriousness, showing the necessary flexibility, but Israel has set new conditions and demands that delay the achievement of an agreement," the document says.
Hamas claims that the "new conditions" of the Israeli leadership refer to the "withdrawal of troops from Gaza, the cessation of hostilities there, the release of Israeli hostages, as well as the return of displaced persons to their homes." The movement did not give any other details.
