"In general, the work of the ministry can be assessed as successful," Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan announced at the closing press conference of the year.
The minister assured that there are many projects that are in progress.
"As our mission, we have defined the construction of resilient financial systems of the state, so that you can advance the breakthrough development of Armenia," Vahe Hovhannsiyan said.
He mentioned that they also aimed to create advanced and innovative financial systems in the near future.
"We have set a goal to act as a "singtang" within the government, which will carry out analyzes in one direction or another," said the minister, citing as an example the analysis of the impact of forcibly displaced people from the NKR on the economy of Armenia.
Hovhannisyan informed that a new methodology has been introduced in relation to the assessment of the tax gap and said that according to the Ministry's assessment, in 2024 by the end of the year, the public debt/GDP ratio will be 49.8%, about 50%. According to the minister, the growth of Armenia's GDP in 2024 will be within the framework of 5-5.5%.
