A private plane crashed in Brazil

A small private plane crashed minutes after takeoff from Canela airport in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, located in the south of Brazil. According to preliminary information, there could have been 10 passengers on the plane, none of them survived, said the governor of the state, Eduardo Leite.

"I am already here at the scene of the accident, we are following the progress of the rescue operations, apparently there are no survivors, now all efforts are aimed at isolating the area and rescuing the residents of the affected area," the governor told CNN Brasil.

As the G1 portal notes, the plane was on its way to the state of Sao Paulo in the south-east of Brazil. The plane fell on city buildings, an explosion took place, and a part of the block was burnt. The plane destroyed the buildings of the furniture store and the hotel, 15 guests of the hotel were injured and they were taken to the hospital, the portal explains.

The plane belonged to local business manager Luis Claudio Salgueiro Galeasi, but it is not yet known if he was among the passengers, G1 said.
