Kobakhidze said that the direction of European integration remains unchanged

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said after the presidential elections, according to which Mikheil Kavelashvili, the candidate of the ruling "Georgian Dream" party, was elected as the head of the country, that the direction of European integration remains unchanged, and the country will do everything to become a member of the EU.

"Our goal is European integration, and everything will be done for it, the only thing that cannot be a subject of compromise is our sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, everything else is a topic of discussion.

We have red lines, but at the same time we are ready to do everything so that Georgia eventually becomes a member of the European Union. this is also the position of newly elected President Kavelashvili. I believe that by 2030 it is quite possible to become a member of the EU," Kobakhidze said at the briefing.
