Erdogan relied on the "right steps" of the Syrian interim government

Turkey expects that the interim government of Syria will take "correct steps" and will not pose a threat to its neighbors, Ankara will support that process, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

On Friday, Erdogan had a telephone conversation with the president of the Sovereign Council of Sudan, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan. During the conversation, the parties discussed bilateral relations, regional and global processes.

President Erdogan said that after a 13-year humanitarian crisis, the Syrian people have reached the stage of deciding their future.

"Turkey supports the maintenance of political unity and territorial integrity of Syria and will continue this support to ensure that the interim government takes comprehensive, comprehensive and correct steps to serve the Syrian people," said the Turkish president.
