Representatives of the Syrian armed opposition assured the American administration through mediators that they do not intend to cooperate with the "Islamic State" terrorist group in any way, writes The New York Times.
As the publication notes, the United States through the Turkish government conveyed a message to the armed opposition that ISIS militants should not be involved in the operation against government forces in Syria.
In the same channel, the armed opposition replied that it does not intend to allow the Islamic State to be associated with it.
The messages, the newspaper notes, were transmitted through diplomatic, military and intelligence channels.
