The events taking place in Syria, where the government forces are resisting the advance of the militants, are surprising to everyone in the world, said the head of the government, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdel Rahman Al Thani.
"Of course, I think that everyone in the world is very surprised by what is happening in the last few days, they are surprised not by the situation itself, but by how quickly they are developing," he said, referring to the Syrian to the events.
"We are worried that it will return us to previous cycles of internal violence, civil war, and it really threatens the territorial integrity of Syria," he noted.
