The strategic partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea has entered into force


The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between North Korea and the Russian Federation entered into force on December 4. About thisreportsKorean Central News Agency (KCNA).

It is noted that on December 4, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong-gyu signed a protocol of exchange of ratification documents in Moscow. According to the text of the agreement, it comes into force from this moment.

Thus, the friendship, neighborliness and cooperation agreement between the Russian Federation and the DPRK dated February 9, 2000 has been declared void. The KCNA report also emphasizes Pyongyang's position that the relations between the two countries should be guaranteed international strategic stability based on the new agreement. and will accelerate the formation of a just multipolar world order.

The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement was signed on June 19, in Pyongyang, when Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the DPRK.
