In several regions of the Syrian city of Aleppo, battles are going on between militants and the Syrian government army, the Turkish state agency "Anadolu" reports.
"Anti-government groups and the Syrian army are fighting in several areas of Aleppo. Militants are trying to break through to the south, north and east of the city.
Under their control are seven districts, such as Hamdaniyeh and Ramusa, as well as a scientific research center that is used for military purposes," the agency reports.
According to the agency, 550 square kilometers of territory came under the control of the militants.
The media claim that "dozens" of Syrian soldiers have been captured.
