Turkey closed the airspace for the Israeli presidential plane

The reason for Israeli President Isaac Herzog's cancellation of his visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the UN climate summit (COP-29) in Baku was the closure of the airspace by Turkey for his plane, the Turkish newspaper Milliyet writes, referring to Israeli and Turkish diplomatic sources.

On Saturday evening, the staff of the Israeli president announced that President Isaac Herzog's visit to Azerbaijan at the COP29 was canceled "due to security reasons", but according to Yedioth Ahronot, Azerbaijani MFA sources said that the real reason was Turkey's refusal to allow the Israeli presidential plane to pass through. with its airspace of authorization.
