According to officials from the administration of US President Joe Biden, cited by the publication, Washington must be ready to expand its nuclear forces to “prevent growing threats from China, Russia and the DPRK.” However, the decision to deploy additional nuclear weapons will remain at the discretion of the new administration of US President-elect Donald Trump, the newspaper notes.
