Euromedia24.comIn a conversation with , the opposition member of the Yerevan Council of Elders, Pedro Zarokyan, mentioned that in the past years it was carried out without a tender, but this time it will be carried out with a tender.
"They are conducting the competition in a fake manner, in the past years, which the companies have conducted, this time only those two companies are participating in the competition."
According to Zarokyan, it is strange that the municipality always publishes the maximum price of the tender.
"Another company can organize 20 percent more affordable, but the municipality publishes the maximum price, the same was done when buying trees, when Avinyan came to power, there are always few participants in the tenders," added our interlocutor.
Pedro Zarokyan mentioned that, most likely, another 600 million drams will be added.
"After protesting against the decorations of New Year's and other events without a competition in the past years, this year the municipality decided to make a "tender". But apparently the same two companies as before, Factor Productions and Cinemart LLC, are participating, having won the competition with ridiculously high prices, not competing with each other on the type of jewelry, so that both could bid the maximum amount allowed and win.
This is clearly a corrupt scheme that wastes taxpayers' money and prevents honest companies from competing to offer competitive prices in bids for city and state events," Zarokyan said.
