The “Hraparak” newspaper writes: “Ahead of the local government elections expected in Masis in November, the government has been searching for a candidate for mayor for a long time.
It is noteworthy that they are not looking among their own members, since there are no pure CP members in this region who have more or less the reputation to win the elections, but among former converts.
We were told that the CP is currently considering two candidates, one is the son of former Masis mayor Sasha Hakobyan, Hovhannes Hakobyan, who is the head of the city’s passport office. The other is the son-in-law of former mayor Dmitry Nazaryan. So far, the negotiations have not reached a final “summary,” and we were unable to find out which of them won the election, although it is possible that another candidate will be found.
