According to information from The Hill and Politico, Senator Marco Rubio may take the position of US Secretary of State in the new administration led by Donald Trump.
Rubio is known as a consistent supporter of sanctions against Russia.
In 2014 he suggested disconnecting Russian banks from the international SWIFT system.
The senator expressed his opposition to providing financial resources to Azerbaijan after Baku's actions against Artsakh.
He also supported the passage of the Armenian Defense Act "S.3000" passed by the Senate in 2023.
