The CC answered the questions of "Zhoghovurd" that it is preliminary investigation data. The Investigative Committee of RA, in response to "Zhoghovurd" inquiries, confirmed that on July 6, 2026, searches were conducted at the business addresses of a number of businessmen, during which various things and objects were taken, and these addresses were "secured" in order to carry out evidentiary and administrative operations. However, this is where the information dead end begins. "Zhoghovurd" asked the Central Committee how many objects were closed, how many of them were hotels, cottages, restaurants, tourist and other economic objects, how many businesses were restricted, how many employees were affected and how long the closure could last. The answer is no number.
CC informs that the issue of defacement of objects will be discussed "after the completion of appropriate investigative and evidentiary actions". In other words, the business may remain closed, but the date of its opening is unknown. when the examiner will finish the examination. It is even more remarkable that the Central Committee directly stated regarding our other issues: "It is not possible to provide information, because it contains preliminary examination data that is not subject to publication." However, the question here is how, for example, the total number of confiscated objects or their economic significance becomes a secret of the preliminary investigation.
We did not demand from the CC to reveal the secret evidence of the criminal proceedings, the details of the search or the tactics of the investigation. We asked about the consequences of public importance: how many businesses were closed, how many jobs were limited, and what is the state of the business owners. The issue of tourist Tsaghkadzor is especially problematic. The ArmLur.am camera crew recorded closed and boarded-up buildings, including cottages and recreation and service facilities, in the area adjacent to the cable car.
And Tsaghkadzor is one of the main tourist destinations in Armenia. In the survey, we were especially interested in whether the possibility of applying a milder restriction was discussed, in the event that the complete closure of the facility is not mandatory for the examination. There is simply no answer to this question either. An interesting situation arises. The Investigative Committee can limit the activity of the business owner by the direct or indirect instruction of the Prime Minister, but the public cannot know the scale of the restriction.
And it is not officially known how many businesses belonging to the big businessman Gagik Tsarukyan are closed today, how many people are unable to work and when will these people be allowed to return to their jobs? CC says: let's finish, we will tell. It is not clear when they will finish. Meanwhile, the rights of hundreds of people are being violated."
