The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) will vote to remove Gianni Infantino from the post of FIFA president if he does not want to resign, "The Telegraph" reported.
All 55 UEFA member countries will choose the option of expressing a vote of no confidence in Infantino.
Infantino had earlier decided to abandon the plan to sell part of the World Cup rights to private investors. This proposal of the FIFA president was rejected by UEFA, the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Football (CONCACAF), the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). UEFA also announced a boycott of FIFA-sponsored tournaments and a loss of confidence in Infantino.
FIFA's plan called for a company to oversee the organization's main men's and women's competitions. According to Infantino, the creation of "FIFA Forward Enterprise" would increase the income of FIFA member associations and contribute to the development of football around the world. The International Federation of Football Associations announced that this program could have collected 4.2 billion dollars. The initiative has been widely criticized and condemned by officials, federations and other organizations.
