The fact that Nikol Pashinyan has entered a new phase of open political terror is not hidden even by himself.
And cases are being "stitched" one by one against oppositionists, opponents, notable public activists. It is also obvious that all these searches, arrests, and detentions have a clear and absolute political background.
No one doubts that. Perhaps even one-person executors. But, in addition to the above, there is another circumstance in all of this that more than accurately defines and shows the real face and essence of both this government and the law enforcement system that executes its orders.
You see, in the last few days, the law enforcement officers went to search the apartment of Ishkhan Saghatelyan, the representative of the ARF GM, to arrest the coordinator of "HayaVote" Avetik Chalabyan, and to search the house, and before that, to arrest Ruben Hakobyan at 7-8 in the morning. The same in the case of "Mother Armenia" leader Andranik Tevanyan, a month ago.
The same, in the cases of different persons, at different times. In other words, in the style of the Gestapo or "Nkvdniks", early in the morning, before the lights are on, they break into people's houses, where there are family members: women, children, possibly elderly parents.
People are being harassed, children are being terrorized, women are being threatened, everyone is being terrorized. It is clear, isn't it, what a heavy psychological sediment will remain, especially in the case of young children.
It's clear, isn't it, that you cause an indelible psychological injury, especially to women and children? It is difficult to say what these methods aim at.
But it's also just plain inhumane, regardless. And to be human, even when following instructions, perhaps it is possible...
