Let's remember that Artur Avanesyan was detained for two months.
He was charged with giving election bribes. Avanesyan's lawyers stated that their client does not accept the charge.
In turn, the Anti-Corruption Committee reported that as a result of evidentiary and operational-investigative measures jointly carried out by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee and RA National Security Service officers, factual data was obtained that the co-supporter of the "Strong Armenia" party promised to hire a number of voters in exchange for voting for them in the RA National Assembly elections on June 7, 2026, which was accepted by the latter.
Regarding the incident, criminal proceedings were initiated under the relevant articles of the RA Criminal Code. A public criminal prosecution has also been initiated against four other persons.
