Yesterday it became known that the presenter Lusine Tovmasyan was fired from the Public TV station. This was reported by the host herself. "I have decided to terminate my cooperation with the Public Television Company of Armenia and terminate my existing contract. The head of the TV company instructed me to replace him with another presenter in the program whose first episode was already filmed," Lusine Tovmasyan wrote on her Facebook page.
On the surface, it's just a work relationship, but what's remarkable here is the reason for the dismissal. According to the presenter, it was due to conducting interviews with the artistic director and chief conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra Sergey Smbatyan, as well as the pianist Lang Lang. And why is this circumstance remarkable? The fact is that Lang Lang arrived in Armenia and on April 14 participated in the gala concert dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the same symphony orchestra, which was financed by the government. 106 million drams were allocated from the state budget.
By the way, this circumstance gave rise to quite serious discussions at the time, why this particular musician was invited, how much was paid, etc. By the way, as the host Lusine Tovmasyan notes, "it is remarkable, or perhaps paradoxical, that the concert was filmed by the order of the Public Television Company of Armenia and by the creative staff."
In short, it seems that Lusine Tovmasyan's "independent activity" was not forgiven in Public, which caused her to announce after years of working at H1 that she is not going to become a tool in anyone's hands to solve her personal issues.
