"Fact" daily writes:
Interesting "events" are taking place in the list of 1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia. If we are to consider the fifty largest among the big ones, there are significant "wildnesses" especially here.
Before addressing them, however, we should note that in 2025 In the list of taxpayers of January-March months, importing and trading organizations dominate again. their number is 14. Next are the banks. if in 2025 8 banks were in the top 50 according to annual indicators, and 6 according to the indicators of the first quarter of this year ("Ameriabank", "Ardshinbank", "Akba" bank, "Evoka" bank, "Inecobank", "Fast" bank).
Here we are already dealing with one of the main shifts. "Fast" bank appeared in the top 10, registering one of the biggest "jumps". if in 2025 in the first quarter this bank was the 93rd, and in 2025 75th in terms of annual indicators, this time it is already in 48th place. Quantitatively, there is also a decrease in the list of producers (as always, we count mining separately). If in 2025 according to the annual results, there were at least 10 manufacturers in the top fifty, then in the first quarter of this year their number is 7.
The sharp decline of "Jermuk Group" is remarkable here. this company in 2025 in the first quarter it was 15th, in 2025 it was 36th in annual indicators, and now it actually dropped by 80 positions and appeared in 95th place within a year. As for the specific food industry, there are two companies in the top 50, and if we also take into account the production of water products and beverages, then - three. According to the data of the first quarter of this year, the prominent leader of the Armenian food industry is the "Athenks" meat factory, which has been the leader of its field for years, and now actually leads the list of the food industry in general.
"Athens" is 27th in the list of 1000 large taxpayers. "Coca Cola HBK Armenia" is in the 34th position, and "Grand Candy" is in the 43rd position, which are also always in the top fifty of large taxpayers. By the way, let's add that among the 50 largest taxpayers, there are 3 tobacco manufacturing companies at once.
As for the mining industry, which we mentioned above, there are five companies in this sector in the top fifty. Here, as always, the prominent leader is "Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine", which is also one of the main pillars of Armenia's economy and is always in the top three. Let's also add that the so-called "utility" sector companies ("Gazprom Armenia, HETC, Veolia water"), as well as communication operators ("Viva Armenia", "Ucom", "Telecom Armenia") are in the top fifty.
The top five is rounded off by "Domus" company, which was also in the top fifty of large taxpayers according to the results of the same period last year.
