On April 14, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with EU Commissioner for Defense and Space Affairs Andrius Kubilius in Brussels. The interlocutors emphasized with satisfaction the active dynamics of the expansion of the RA-EU partnership. Ararat Mirzoyan and Andrius Kubilius exchanged thoughts on the prospects of cooperation in the security and defense sector, which is developing recently. It was emphasized on both sides that the significant progress made by RA in the implementation of democratic reforms, as well as the adoption of the strategic agenda of the RA-EU partnership, have formed a new vision and opportunities for cooperation. Reference was made to the high-level events to be held in Yerevan in May, including the issues on the agenda of the RA-EU summit. The head of the RA foreign political department and the EU commissioner exchanged ideas on regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan presented the works aimed at the further institutionalization of peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
