The opposition in Georgia is planning to disrupt the first session of the new parliament

The opposition intends to prevent the first session of the newly convened parliament in Georgia, which was formed after the elections held on October 26. This was stated by the leader of the opposition "Girchi" party, former MP Zurab Japaridze at the rally held near the parliament building in Tbilisi.

"In 10 days, according to the constitution, that garbage must be collected in the parliament building and recognize its legitimacy. We must not allow this to happen. We have to do it ourselves," Japaridze said. According to Japaridze, another important date is November 21. This is the deadline for the CEC to publish the summary protocol of the NA elections. And on this day, the opposition should hold a rally.

An opposition demonstration is taking place near the parliament building in Tbilisi against the results of the parliamentary elections. The organizers and participants claim that the elections were rigged and they are not going to accept it. Opponents of the authorities distributed stickers to the protesters, which contain a special bar code, after scanning the user of the Telegram messenger will become a member of a group where they will be informed about the plans of the opposition every day.

Parliamentary elections in Georgia were held on October 26, for the first time through electronic ballot boxes. According to the Central Electoral Commission, the ruling "Georgian Dream" party received 53.93 percent of the votes and received the right to form a single government. All the opposition parties that entered the parliament refused to recognize the election results because they consider them rigged. The president of the country, Salome Zurabishvili, did not recognize the results of the elections either.
