Petros Petrosyan, a member of the men's weightlifting team of Armenia, became the gold medalist of the European Youth Championship. At the European U20 and U23 European Weightlifting Championships in Poland, the heavyweight boys entered the fight last.
Armenia had two representatives in this weight category: Yasha Minasyan and Petros Petrosyan.
By lifting 166 kg in the snatch exercise, Petros Petrosyan was the third in this form, and the first in the push with 218 kg. Petros Petrosyan became the gold medalist of the youth EA with the result of 384 kg in the two-fight event.
