Former executive director for Russia at the International Monetary Fund, Alexei Mozhin, said that the EU economy was deliberately “killed” by the refusal of “extremely reliable” energy supplies from Russia.

Mozhin added that Europe flourished largely thanks to Russian energy resources. In his opinion, the decision to abandon them was made with the participation of the “big brother” of the United States.
