"Hraparak" newspaper writes:
"According to reports, Archbishop Hovnan Terteryan, leader of the North American Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, "converted" under the pressure of the American Armenian community and the priests of his diocese.
It is said that they put enormous pressure on him, put him in front of a dilemma: either he remains loyal to the Mother See, or they send a letter with the demand to stop his diocesan leadership. And only after that he announced that on February 16-19 he will participate in the Episcopal meeting, which the Mother See has called in Austria.
To remind: Archbishop Terteryan of Hovna is one of the 10 bishops who joined Nikol Pashinyan.
Earlier, they announced that they will not participate in the Episcopal meeting and called for the Mother See to cancel the meeting. Archbishop Hovna, however, did not announce that he was leaving the Church Reform Council created by Pashinyan. It is said that current and former ambassadors Narek Mkrtchyan and Lilit Makunts made persistent efforts to bring him to Pashinyan's side.
