From February 5, the movie "Golden Double" dedicated to "Ararat-73" and the memory of Nikita Simonyan will be shown in cinemas. The premiere of the film will take place in Russia a few days earlier. It is clear that a limited number of people have seen that film, and it is impossible to make a preliminary opinion about it without watching it. However, some so-called "western" circles in Armenia have already declared war against that film. According to the information we have, there is even a proposal to boycott, to prevent the screening of the film in Armenia as much as possible. The sources of the newspaper convey that they have also appealed to the authorities.
The reasoning is that the film contains "Russian propaganda". It is difficult to say what is considered "Russian propaganda", but there is a point of view that the reason for such a nervous reaction may be that a film about the team named "Ararat" will be shown in Armenia.
