Hungary calls on EU leaders not to interfere with the implementation of the US plan on Ukraine

Hungary hopes that the EU leaders will not hinder the implementation of the new US plan for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, which gives a real chance for peace. This was announced to journalists by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijarto, after a series of bilateral meetings in Brussels.

"We strongly call on European politicians not to undermine President Donald Trump's peace efforts," the foreign minister said at a press conference broadcast on M1 TV channel.

He expressed hope that the American program will lead to the establishment of peace in Ukraine, and the EU countries will not have to send another 135 billion euros to continue military operations at the initiative of the European Commission.

"We hope that this plan will be adopted as soon as possible, the peoples of Europe will have peace, and their money will not flow uncontrollably into the pockets of the [Ukrainian] military mafia," Sijarto said.
