Trump announced that the United States will work on a peace settlement in Sudan at Riyadh's request

US President Donald Trump announced that Washington intends to intensify efforts to end the conflict in Sudan at the request of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud.

"His Majesty would like me to take decisive action on the situation in Sudan. I had no intention of personally interfering, I thought it was some kind of madness that had gotten out of hand. But I understand how important it is to you, so we will deal with Sudan," Trump said Wednesday, addressing the crown prince.

The US president added that Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud personally and in detail explained to him the essence of what is happening in Sudan. Trump noted that this conversation allowed him to understand the scale of the events taking place in that country.

He also noted that the United States will work to end the conflict in Sudan in cooperation with Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and other countries in the Middle East.
