Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that during his visit to the USA, he was able to discuss in detail the issues of Ukraine, Iran, Palestine and Syria with the special representative of the US President, Stephen Wittkoff.
"We had the opportunity to discuss in detail many issues related to the Palestinian cause, for which Steve Wittkoff is responsible. As you know, there are still important unresolved issues related to the ceasefire.
Wittkoff also oversees the Russian-Ukrainian issue, so we had detailed discussions on this topic.
We discussed what can be done to stop the war at this important moment, what role Turkey can play and how we can cooperate with the United States in this context," said Fidan, commenting on the results of his trip to the US to the Turkish media.
He noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan "has certain views on these issues". "During the meeting, we outlined some of our assessments and next steps," he said.
