The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has stated that the agency estimates that almost the entire volume of enriched uranium remains in Iran following the strikes by Israel and the United States on Iranian nuclear facilities.
"The damage was massive, but we estimate that most, if not all, of up to 60%, as well as 20%, 5% and 2% enriched uranium is still there," Grossi told the Financial Times.
According to him, "the existence of material with such a high level of enrichment, close to the quality intended for weapons, is itself a cause for concern."
In September, Grossi announced that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) did not see direct evidence that Iran was increasing the level of uranium enrichment, but that Tehran had the ability to do so.
