Orban will discuss with Trump the issue of organizing the Russia-US summit in November

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House on November 7. The parties will discuss bilateral relations and issues of organization of the Russia-USA summit, Orban's chief of staff, Gergely Gulyas, announced.

"The Prime Minister of Hungary will be the guest of US President Donald Trump at the White House on November 7. Preparations for the meeting are in full progress. The goal is to ensure that these consultations are beneficial for Hungarian-American relations and the Hungarian economy," Gulyas said during a government briefing.

According to him, during the meeting it is planned to sign agreements "in the spheres of energy, military-industrial, economic and financial cooperation".

"The proposed meeting also provides an opportunity for the two heads of state to exchange ideas on a possible path to peace and determine what course of action could lead to a meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States, and through that, a Russian-Ukrainian peace agreement," Guijas said.
