Hungary hopes that US President Donald Trump's efforts to establish peace in Ukraine will be successful, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siararto told reporters within the framework of the "Russian Energy Week" (Rew) event.
"I hope that peace will return to Central Europe. We believe that President Trump is the only hope of peace in Ukraine.
We hoped after the Alaska summit, and we still hope that Trump's efforts will be successful to establish peace in the region, "he said.
According to Siyarto, Hungary realizes that the risks of aggravation with each day of the continuation of this conflict increases.
"As a neighboring country, of course, we hope that there will be no escalation," he added.
