The highest collegial body of the French parliament, the National Assembly Bureau, rejected the left-wing opposition proposal to start an impeachment process against President Emanuel McRon, Le Figaro reports.
The participants of the Bureau session stated that there are no grounds to accept the Mount Wound by the "Disobedient Francist" party, which was collected by 104 deputies.
Article 68 of the French Constitution provides for early termination of the French President in case of non-fulfillment of his responsibilities. Impeachment initiators must first collect signatures of 58 members of the parliament (one-tenth of members of the lower house).
Then the Palace Bureau must decide whether the draft resolution can be taken for discussion. Then the relevant commission must approve the project.
