Within the framework of her visit to London, the Minister of CGMS Zhanna Andreasyan visited the British Museum and met the acting director Mark Jones. As we learn from the press release of the Ministry of Education and Culture, during the meeting, the "Mother Deity" planned for September at the History Museum of Armenia was discussed. Questions related to the organization of a joint international exhibition entitled "Mariam from Anahit". Within the framework of the exhibition, according to the contract signed with the British Museum, the History Museum of Armenia will display K. a. II-I centuries. preserved head and hand specimens from a bronze statue of the goddess Anahit dated They will be moved to Armenia and from September 21, 2024 to March 2025, for about 6 months, they will be displayed with the unique values ​​kept in the History Museum of Armenia: "Mother Deity: As part of the large-scale exhibition titled "Mariam from Anahit". The History Museum of Armenia previously cooperated with the British Museum and provided its collections on temporary loan in the framework of various international exhibitions. However, for the first time in Armenia, samples from this prestigious museum will be exhibited, especially such symbolic and museum objects of special significance for the Armenian people.
