Turkey will provide assistance to the government's training for government army, supply of military equipment and weapons systems within the framework of the memorandum signed between the Ministries of Defense of the two countries.
The statement came from Turkish Defense Minister Yashar Guler and Syrian Transitional Government Defense Minister in Ankara by Murhaf Abu Kasra, the Turkish Military Department.
"The signed memorandum aims to coordinate and plan military exercises and cooperation, exchange of information and experience, supply military equipment, weapons systems and logistics," said TRT Haber, citing sources.
"Turkey will continue to help Syria in the fight against terrorism and strengthen its defense and security capabilities," said sources.
