RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan met with Armenian filmmakers. During the meeting, the issues in the sphere, the proposals and possible ways related to their solution were discussed. This was reported by the IAEA.
Deputy Minister of Education, Daniel Danielyan, Chairman of the Union of Filmmakers of Armenia, and Director of the Film Foundation of Armenia David Banuchyan were present at the meeting.
Minister Zhanna Andreasyan welcomed those present and noted that the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the problems with the representatives of the sphere.
"The government is a serious priority to the development of film production. Our steps must be aimed at developing film production as a separate self-sufficient branch. To this end, we consider it necessary to create opportunities, ensuring state care in all directions in which there is a need for it.
We must not forget the need for film production as a separate branch of the economy. In this sense, our policy should be balanced, and state care should stimulate the development of the sphere, "the Minister said, offering filmmakers to discuss joint solutions and to seek joint solutions.
The key topics of discussion were related to state funding for cinematography, in particular, the regulations of monetary assistance competitions, state support for filmmath, legislative changes and other issues.
The Minister discussed in detail the scope of the above-mentioned issues and offered to form a professional working group to jointly discuss the draft legal acts and other issues related to the filmmath.
