Panama resumes flights to Venezuela

Panama authorities have decided to resume air communication with Venezuela after a break of more than nine months. This was reported by the Civil Aviation Department of the Civil Aviation on Instagram.

"The Panama Civil Aviation Department confirms the restoration of air communication with Venezuela. This will allow the airlines of the two countries to resume activities, "the statement said.

The air traffic between the two countries was suspended on the initiative of the Panama side in August 2024. At that time, presidential elections were held in Venezuela, in which Nicolas Maduro won. Afterwards, the Panama authorities refused to recognize the results of the voting and stopped diplomatic relations with Caracas.
