Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan received today the President of the Stirling International Foundation Miles Hansen and Regional Director Britney Stirling.

During the conversation, Minister Mkrtchyan presented the sectoral reforms to detail the programs and measures to ensure equal opportunities. Touching upon the state's policy and services provided to people with disabilities, Narek Mkrtchyan also spoke about the services provided to those with mental health problems, as well as the services provided to children with disabilities. In this context, the opportunity to exchange the best practices were discussed.

Representatives of the Stirling International Foundation inquire in the last two years with the introduction of the functionality of the functionality of the person operated in Armenia, with the possibilities of the prosthetization process, the use of the latest technologies, etc. In response, Minister Mkrtchyan detailed the work carried out in this direction, speaking about the services provided to vulnerable groups. He noted that each year it is allocated about 1.3 billion drams for non-governmental organizations to implement grant programs.

During the conversation, a number of issues related to domestic violence and human trafficking were discussed, regardless of the idea of ​​creating centers of life. Detailed information was also presented on the priorities of the RA employment and demographic strategies, as well as the reforms envisaged by the new system of insecurity assessment. In this context, Minister Mkrtchyan spoke about the global coalition of social justice and the efficiency of the platform.

Representatives of the Stirling International Foundation also inquired about the services and support of the refugees provided to the refugees in Armenia. In this context, short-term, medium-term and long-term measures of those displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh were presented, the need to ensure their continuity.

At the end of the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of exchanging the best practices and implementing joint work in the direction of the discussed topics. In this context, a number of programs were discussed, in which additional discussions will be held.
