Erdogan. Turkey will continue its efforts for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine

Turkey will continue active contacts with Russia and Ukraine to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire and fair peace. Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated this at the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic states in Budapest.

"We feel deeply in the global consequences of this war. In Istanbul, we recently held the first meeting of the parties for the first time since 2022. We will continue our intense contacts with both countries to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire and fair peace, "Erdogan said.

Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place in Istanbul on May 16. After the meeting, Moscow and Kiev agreed to exchange captarians with a resolution "1000 for 1000", to present their vision of a possible future ceasefire, to further formulate it and continue the negotiation process.
