The CSTO Secretary General has made progress in the "Iranian case"

Experts make progress in the so-called Iranian case in Oman in the light of the indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran. The statement came from Kanigalov, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) at the Board of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) in Bishkek.

"According to experts, there is progress in Iran's case, this is the indirect negotiations between the United States and Iran in Oman," he said.

On May 11, Iran and the United States conducted the fourth round of talks on Tehran's nuclear program under Oman. The Iranian delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and the US delegation, Special Special Envoy Steven Whitcoff.

As the Iranian Foreign Minister stated after the talks, this stage was more serious and sincere than the previous ones, and the positions of the parties became closer. On May 16, US President Donald Trump announced that Washington sent a written proposal to Tehran to normalize the situation.
