EU Commissioner for Technology Henna Virklet has stated that "transparency of online advertising is a key tool for protection of public interest." Tiktok, in turn, countered that he agrees with the main goals of the rules, but does not share some comments and format of the commission, Reuters reports.
Tiktok is also under a separate investigation into risks management. The company may demand to consider the documents of the commission and submit a written answer before the final decision is made.
