On April 24, His Holiness His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, received a delegation led by the Minister of Education, Culture and Science of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Eppo Bruins.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia Marie Harriet Monroe-Vinter was also present at the meeting.
His Holiness expressed his satisfaction with the visit to the guests, Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin on this day, when the Armenian people commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. His Holiness emphasized that the marzes of the nation's children to the Genocide are accompanied by the awareness that the Armenian Genocide should be universally recognized and condemns that such atrocities will never happen in human life. In this regard, the Armenian Patriarch said,
The Armenian Pastord expressed his appreciation to the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the condemnation of the Genocide, as well as in the difficult days of Armenia and the Armenians of Artsakh.
In his speech, His Holiness also touched upon historical ties between the two peoples and the existing cooperation, noting with satisfaction that the local Armenian community is actively involved in the country's development process.
Minister Eppo Bruins thanked for His Holiness for His Holiness, shared his impressions of Armenia and highlighted the centuries-old experience of the Armenian Church in the changing world of faith and modern life.
