The State Duma commented on the US readiness report to recognize Crimea

The possible recognition of Donbas and Crimean territories will show the consequences of the West. Dmitry Belik, a member of the State Duma, told TASS.

"Russia is based on its constitution, which is closed to the property of the Crimean and New Regions. "If the common sense in the West, all the mentioned territories would be recognized as Russian," he said.

On April 18, Bloomberg said that the United States is ready to recognize Crimea as a Russian territory as part of the Ukrainian conflict resolution.

Recently, US President Special Envoy Steven Witkoff said that he discussed the "Territorial issue" at the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, it was the central topic of negotiations.
