Garnik Cholakyan, a member of the Armenian men's weightlifting team, was awarded the EU's bronze medal in Moldova with a result of 275 kg (124 + 151 kg).

In the snatching exercise, Cholakyan was successful only one approach, keep 124 kg weighing 124 kg and won a silver medal in this form. In the pushing exercise, Cholakyan again shown the results of 151 kg with one successful approach and took the 4th place.
