"It is an undeniable fact that the cultural contradiction between the Armenian society and the government today is of a deeper and fundamental nature than ever. This is not just a difference between political views or orientations. Here it is about the clash of two different thinking, value systems and perception of history.
On the one hand, the society, among other important expectations, continues to rely on the historical basis of national memory and identity. On the other hand, the government is consistently striving for a "new" model of Armenia, where history is either replaced by technocratic language or considered as a disruptive circumstance.
This forms a deep abyss that is not filled with unfavorable statistics or "new agendas", as these agendas are completely cut out of its identity for a significant part of society. "
